Meet Wally: A Brave Little Squirrel

This is Wally. He’s only about two days old, and he’s already defying the odds.

Wally was found alone under a tree, so badly bruised that his tiny face was tinged blue, with blood coming from his nose. It didn’t look good. We estimated his chances of survival at only 10%.

But Wally had other plans. From the very first moment, he showed an incredible will to live. With his brave little face and unwavering spirit, he reminded us of William Wallace from the movie Braveheart, and so we named him Wally.

We don’t know what happened to him. Maybe he fell. Maybe something else went wrong. But what we do know is that he’s fighting to stay. And we’ll fight right alongside him.
